Solar PV generates lots of inexpensive, electricity but it needs the right orientation. We design roof spaces or (and!) outdoor spaces to maximize solar production for the way you intend to live

We select each window with a purpose: do we want it to block, pass through, or limit the amount of Texas sun that reaches your living space.
Tight building shells
The key to an energy efficient home is a "tight" building shell. Selection of wall and roof materiels to provide the highest R-value at the best financial value is matched with sealing techniques to limit the "air changes per hour (ACH)" so our HVAC is not conditioning necessarily.

Home Energy storage and energy managment
The intersection of advanced battery storage and software provides your home the most advanced energy management possible. We use this technology to store solar PV energy for evening or cloudy use - with no human-interaction requirements. It will just operate seamlessly. Depending on your needs, we'll have either lithium or AGM batteries; all installed with the expertise that has Solar CenTex a nationally recognized solar installer.
Roof materiel selection
We love high quality standing seam roofs because they are beautiful, amazing energy efficient, and for hail resistance. Our Solar CenTex teammates know that solar panels are rarely damaged by hail. Our selection of metal roofs means you are not removing fully functional solar arrays because you're re-roofing for hail damage. Where shingles are architecturally appropriate, expect us to use hail-resistant shingles that are beautiful and insurance-premium reducing.
HVAC and other Mechanicals
The proper selection of a heat-pump is essential in a Central Texas home. In a Texas Solar Home, we integrate the very finest high-SEER systems to provide heating and cooling. Expect infinite variable speed systems that are sized appropriately for the R-Value of your home's building envelope. We take this same care with hot-water heating and help educate the homeowner on the best technology to meet his hot water requirements at the very lowest cost.
